I was not previously aware of the phrase addlepated douchebag although each word separately is known of course. The conjunction seems unlikely as one component is notably archaic, the other from the latter part of the last century and probably American. I am not all that surprised to find therefore that the phrase, addlepated douchebag, was coined by a Canadian to describe a situation which, while it is true that idiot politicians are a universal, seems to have specific meaning in a Canadian context.

We would, of course, want the connection between a mentally deficient article of female hygeine equipment and a Member of the Canadian Parliament to rise to the number one spot at *oog*e on its own merits, not as a result of any campaign, co-ordinated or not.
