Moronic Bureaucracy. Again.

Hospitals are no longer allowed to tell chaplains the religious preferences of patients, leading to people dying without the last rites or any spiritual help or comfort. The reason? The Data Protection Act:

Thousands of terminally ill patients are being denied access to spiritual guidance from hospital chaplains because the Data Protection Act is being applied over-zealously.

Sheesh.
