Following the earlier post where I show how committed to open discussion Britain in Europe really is I thought I’d post the two things I have said on their site so far. Sceptic, yes, but I don’t think that either of these are beyond the bounds of rational debate nor of polite discourse. In fact, I think they are not only charmingly polite but also jam packed full of good advice.

What Eurosceptic Media?
So the Guardian and Independent are sceptics now eh? The BBC? Mirror? FT? I’ll agree that the Mail and Torygraph are but c’mon guys, the first part of any political campaign is to recognise reality. The British Media are preponderantly pro Europe and bleating about scepticism isn’t going to get you anywhere.
Which brought the rather charming rejoinder (in part):
I wouldn’t say the BBC is pro european though, it’s pretty neutral.
which seems to show that there really is a parallel universe out there with an impartial BBC.

Tax Co-ordination
Err, excuse me? More co-ordination of tax rates? Where did you get that idea from? There’s 191 UN members out there and only 25 are part of glorious Europe. How does us making a 25 nation high tax block help us compete with the other 166?
Tim Worstall
So, let’s see. I’ve written recently for The Sprout, often at Techcentralstation, in the past have been published in Commersant, the Moscow Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, New Times: yeah, I guess I could describe myself as a journalist, even if only part time and minor league.
So, Britain in Europe is so confident of their arguments, so imbued with the spirit of the New Europe that they ban journalists from their website.
Way to go guys, glad we get to see your colours before we vote on the Constitution.
