If I told you that this blog was well connected, plugged in to the world wide network of movers and shakers you might not believe me. So here is a missive from the Irish Honorary Consul to Cuzco, a man who used to be our favourite publican in Russia and is now our such in Latin America.
So, from Charlie Donovan :
Remember when Lady Di died? And Mother Teresa, the same weekend?
Who was overshadowed? Now with Ronald Reagan and Ray Charles I feel that a tribute is appropriate at a time like this…..
With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is
worth reflecting on the death of a very important person which almost went
unnoticed this week.
Larry la Prise, the man who wrote “The Hokey Pokey,” died peacefully at
age 93.
The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.
They put his left leg in.And then the trouble started.
Charlie is playing a several year engagement at Rosie O’Grady’s, just off the main square in Cuzco. No cover, cash bar and food available.
