Now wait minute. This Nick Berg execution video. So it starts out as Zarquawi being identified as the homicidal maniac sawing a man’s head off. A civilian contractor, a Jew, who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. So we are all, quite rightly, up in arms over this, with comments from ” see, this is what we’re really fighting against ” to “Nuke’em “.
Then this morning, I look at Whizzbang who is running an excellent series of updates on the matter. Berg had contacts with Moussaoui ? Lent him a computer and password ? Is this just some bizzare co-incidence ? Berg was arrested in Mosul on March 24 th and only released on April 6 th ? By the Americans? There seem to have been other contacts between Berg and the terrorists ?
Just what is going on here people ? I mean, WTF ?
Can someone fill me in here ? Are we getting close to the idea that Berg was, in Lenin’s phrase, one of the useful idiots ?
I just don’t know what to think at the moment.
