Just How Big is the EU ?

Over at a Fist Full of Euros a little discussion on which is the furthest flung outpost of the European Union. Have a look at the comments because it’s not as obvious as you may think.
Some EU countries, like the UK, say that the dependencies ( ie the colonies too small to be independent ) are just that, dependencies, and not part of the UK or the EU. Others see it differently, the French ( quelle surprise ) especially. Those ex French colonies that are not independent are actually counted as part of France itself. they elect MP’s to the Paris Parliament, for example, and also to the European one.
This leads to the odd thought that the EU is in fact in existence on 6 of the 7 continents.
Quite obviously in Europe.
N America ? St Pierre and Miquelon, just off Newfoundland are part of France.
S America ? French Guiana ( guess ).
Africa ? Ceuta and Melilla are part of Spain.
Antarctica ? Several EU countries lay claim to slices of it, and I’m sure there’s a Frech island or two ( Kerguelen ? ) which is actually part of France.
Oceania / Australasia ? Numerous : French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Pitcairn ?
Can’t think of anything in Asia at all : perhaps when Turkey joins eh ?
